The latest addition to our wide range of inspired and contemporary façade designs, the Coast façade is a nod to coastal living, bringing the feel of ocean waves and white sands to the suburbs.
Inspired by the steeply angled rooftops of beach-side Australian housing, the Coast façade offers simple and modern proportions you might find on the Bellarine and Mornington peninsula's - or on the home exteriors of those who bring the delights of the coast closer to the city.
‘This façade was inspired by skillion roof homes found in Australian coastal areas,’ says Senior Designer, Robert Nguyen.
‘We set out to create our own version of this architectural style, starting with the skillion roof form and applying contemporary design elements and finishes.’
The jewel in this design’s crown is its strong angled roof, complemented by clean, rendered piers and a large corner window, perfect for views of nature, coupled with a good book and a cup of tea.
Softened by painted timber cladding, the mixed materials of the Coast façade combine to create a truly stunning design.
‘The form of the façade is kept clean by using light render to all walls and darker contrast colour to offset the front piers,’ says Robert.
‘To add texture, we applied a painted timber batten cladding above the porch and beside the window that enhances the façade’s coastal feel.’
