Design with Purpose
The home is based on the much-loved Portofino 28 floorplan with our Alpine façade, tailored to reflect its coastal setting near Torquay.
Inside, as well as sustainable and energy efficient features, the interiors follow a refined coastal scheme: light, minimal and contemporary.
Soft whites, warm beiges and natural textures create a sense of calm, while standout features like the Vasari island bench, raked ceiling, fireplace and sunken lounge bring moments of drama and delight.
“It’s really about a refined coastal scheme — minimal, light and airy, a sense of luxury without being in your face. This project has given our design team the opportunity to try new things and showcase new products from our suppliers. It’s exciting to see it come to life.”

Every detail has been carefully considered — from sustainable finishes to functional spaces that make everyday living easier.
For the end purchaser, that means a beautiful home. For the wider community, it means something more: every choice contributes to the work Cottage by the Sea does in supporting over 700 children each year.

A project like this is never the work of one team alone. It’s the product of countless hours and the generosity of suppliers, trades and partners who have donated their expertise, materials and time. It’s also the second home we have built with Cottage by the Sea — a long-standing partnership that continues to grow.
Walking through the New Riptide facility currently under construction, the team was reminded of the true purpose behind the project: to give children facing hardship the chance to enjoy new experiences, build confidence and create brighter futures.
