Maintaining your mixer tap handle

Maintaining your sink mixer is an essential part of keeping your kitchen running smoothly. A well-maintained sink mixer not only looks great, but it also ensures that you have access to clean, running water whenever you need it.

To ensure that your sink mixer stays in good working order, it’s important to perform regular maintenance tasks. This might include cleaning the mixer regularly to prevent buildup of grime and dirt, checking for leaks or other issues, and making any necessary repairs or replacements.

By taking the time to maintain your sink mixer, you can extend its lifespan and avoid costly repairs or replacements in the future.

Step one

Remove the mixer tap handle with a gentle pull.

Step two

On the end of the mixer tap handle, you’ll find a cap. Remove the cap and inside the handle there’ll be a grub screw.

Step three

Insert an Allen key & rotate the screw clockwise to tighten the handle.

Tips:

  • You also may find restricted flow from the spout. This can be prevented with regular maintenance. At the end of the spout you’ll have an aerator which you can unscrew with your finger.
  • You may find debris stuck in the end of the filter. Simply clean it out by running water through the opposite way.
